چکیده

For a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system adopting the Neyman-Pearson (NP) criterion, a detection algorithm for MIMO radar with arbitrarily correlated observation channels in the presence of possible Non-Gaussian clutter-plusnoise is analyzed. Simulation results show that both the correlation of the observation channels and the correlation of the clutter-plus-noise will reduce the detection performance. The algorithm can be utilized to compute and analyze the detection performance of a MIMO radar system for any given transmitter/receiver geometry and varying levels of correlation in the target.

Performance of Target Detection in Phased-MIMO Radars

In this paper, the problem of target detection in phased-MIMO radars is considered and target detection performance of phased-MIMO radars is compared with MIMO and phased-array radars. Phased-MIMO radars combine advantages of the MIMO and phased-array radars. In these radars, the transmit array will be partitioned into a number of subarrays that are allowed to overlap and each subarray transmit...

Design of Optimal Waveforms in MIMO Radar Systems Based on the Generalized Approach to Signal Processing

We consider the problem of waveform design for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems employing the generalized detector that is constructed based on the generalized approach to signal processing in noise. We investigate the case of an extended target and without limiting ourselves to orthogonal waveforms. Instead, we develop a procedure to design the optimal waveform that maximize...

Adaptive Signal Detection in Auto-Regressive Interference with Gaussian Spectrum

A detector for the case of a radar target with known Doppler and unknown complex amplitude in complex Gaussian noise with unknown parameters has been derived. The detector assumes that the noise is an Auto-Regressive (AR) process with Gaussian autocorrelation function which is a suitable model for ground clutter in most scenarios involving airborne radars. The detector estimates the unknown...
